As the defender of the interests of port-related and logistics companies, Alfaport Antwerpen brings the wishes and requirements of the port community to the attention of the Flemish and Federal government and organisations, and strives for sustainable, structural solutions at all levels for its members.

COMMUNICATION, PR AND PROMOTION

Communication: Alfaport Antwerpen keeps the port-related and logistics companies informed about shared positions and new developments through its electronic newsletters and its website.
|
|
|
The quarterly magazine 'Portal' is published jointly (in Dutch) by Alfaport Antwerpen and Cepa, keeping members informed in an accessible way about developments within the Antwerp port community and matters of concern to companies, their members of personnel and the industry associations.
|
|
|
Public Relations: Alfaport Antwerpen maintains contacts with the organisations and government bodies that are of importance to the Antwerp port community. It keeps these target groups informed of its policy positions through the media and by means of PR events.

|
|
Events: Alfaport Antwerpen organises networking events on a regular basis, including port lunches, seminars, political debates and press conferences.
|
|
|

Promotion: a programme of promotional activities is drawn up in collaboration with Antwerp Port Authority, including exhibitions, conferences and Port Days.

Some promotional activities are supported by Flanders Investment & Trade, helping to keep the participation cost attractive for the port-related and logistics companies.

This body organises training in port-related and logistics activities. The emphasis is on high-level, practical training and seminars to meet the needs of the various companies. This takes the form of evening classes, seminars or in-company training. Portilog also organises specialist courses in skills that are in short supply, for special interest groups. Portilog operates Flanders-wide.

Port-I-Com is the ICT strategy unit within Alfaport Antwerpen. It concentrates mainly on analysing the ICT requirements for the port-related and logistics community and drawing up a corresponding strategy.
