Alfaport Antwerp defends the shared social and economic interests and acts as the mouthpiece of the 400 or so companies represented by the industry associations that are its members: ASV, VEA, ABAS, KVBG and KBRV.
The Alfaport Antwerp staff members set up workgroups made up of specialists from logistics companies, bringing together expertise on particular subjects. Through a bottom-up approach, policy positions are reached and solutions proposed to achieve efficient operation of the port. In this process Alfaport Antwerp ensures that the subjects are approached from as wide an angle as possible, carries out the necessary lobbying with the local, Flemish and federal bodies concerned and maintains very open dialogue with all the parties concerned.
